AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS (November 20, 2017) — At a ceremony last night at Amsterdam’s De Hallen Studios, Beatrice Rana won the 2017 Edison Klassiek Award for “Discovery of the Year”! This is her third award of the year in recognition of her much-acclaimed Bach “Goldberg Variations” album on Warner Classics. Earlier this year, Rana won BBC Music Magazine’s 2017 “Newcomer of the Year” Award and Gramophone’s 2017 “Young Artist of the Year” Award at ceremonies in London.

The Edison Klassiek Award jury commented: “In the Aria of her recording of ‘Goldberg Variations’, Beatrice Rana shows that she is not intimidated by Bach’s masterpiece and she dares to make her own interpretations. She shows new sides and deeper insights into a work that we know so well, achieving ‘the highest level for a performing musician.'”
