Seong-Jin Cho returns to the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra this week for a performance that will be broadcast live from the Berlin Philharmonie.

The performance takes place on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 7pm Berlin Time / 1pm NY Time. It will be broadcast live on the Berlin Philharmonic Digital Concert Hall.

Cho will perform Liszt Concerto for Piano No. 2, conducted by Andris Nelsons.

‘There are few poets at the piano today – one of them is Seong- Jin Cho’, was the verdict of Simon Rattle after the young Korean made his debut with the Berlin Philharmonic in 2017. Now, under the direction of Andris Nelsons, Cho will play Franz Liszt’s rapturous Second Piano Concerto. His performance will be framed by Beethoven's Coriolan Overture and his momentous Fifth Symphony - as a tribute to the composer, whose birth 250 years ago is being celebrated in the next few days.
