Nicola Benedetti and Christoph Eschenbach acknowledge the audience at their May 13, 2017 performance with Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España
Last weekend over the course of three days, from May 12th through 14th, Nicola Benedetti performed three highly acclaimed interpretations of the Brahms Violin Concerto with the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España and Maestro Christoph Eschenbach. She stepped in on three day’s notice for an indisposed Leonidas Kavakos and received glowing reviews for her performances!
“Benedetti’s Stradivarius leaves footprint in the National Auditorium”
“One of the features that most drew the attention of Benedetti is the balance of her movements, calm and measured, against the extraordinary difficulty of the score of Brahms.”
“… this wonderful instrument at the hands of the Scottish violinist is an inimitable experience; It is a unique sound that is recorded in memory and remains stable in the memory as a sensory experience of the highest level.
“… an interpretation of the Brahms concerto, which will undoubtedly be fixed in the history of the Auditorio Nacional.”
Review: Platea Magazine
“… technical and sonorous display of continuity and narrative emotion”
