Gemma New to make debut at Leipzig Gewandhaus

Our conductor Gemma New will make her debut with the musicians of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchester and the Mendelssohn Orchestral Academy on June 20, 2019 at the Gewandhaus’ Mendelssohn Saal in Leipzig, Germany.

As a former Tanglewood Music Center Fellow, New will conduct an exciting program of Stravinsky, Mozart and the world premiere of Nathan Shields’ work Commedia for Chamber Orchestra. This will mark her first professional engagement in Leipzig.
