Benedetti, Marsalis and Măcelaru have been nominated for 2020 Grammy Awards

It has been announced this past week that Nicola Benedetti, Wynton Marsalis, and Cristian Măcelaru have been nominated for 2020 Grammy Awards!

Benedetti and Măcelaru are nominated for Best Classical Instrumental Solo while Marsalis and his Violin Concerto are nominated for Best Contemporary Classical Composition.

All the nominations are based on their most recently released album on Decca Classics featuring Marsalis’ Violin Concerto and Fiddle Dance Suite recorded with The Philadelphia Orchestra. It is available for download here.

This is the first GRAMMY nomination in these particular categories for each of our three artists. Sources like ClassicFM have highlighted the nominations.
