This week Itzhak Perlman embarks on his first return tour to Europe in over fifteen years. The recital tour, which is completely sold out, goes to three cities: London, Munich and Paris. Perlman performs with his long-time collaborator pianist Rohan de Silva in a tour that commemorates his 70th Birthday. It has been over 20 years since Perlman played in Germany and the audiences there, anticipated to come from all over the country, have long awaited his return. London and Paris audiences have seen him more in recent years and the Paris date marks Perlman’s first time performing in the recently opened Philharmonie de Paris. Audiences can expect to hear Perlman’s trademark signature sound, firm and glossy with big vibrato, across the landscape of his repertoire, touching on pieces of music that have helped shape an exceptional career.
