December 2021 Artist Updates from Primo Artists

Randall Goosby, violin: Randall Goosby makes his professional NYC recital debut at the 92nd Street Y on December 9. He will perform with pianist Zhu Wang on a program of Mozart, Franck and selections from his Decca Classics album “Roots”.

Seong-Jin Cho, piano: As he wraps up an extensive 12-destination European recital tour, Seong-Jin Cho performs his final recital at Liederhalle Stuttgart on December 8 amid two performances with the Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest playing Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 under the direction of Lahav Shani on December 3 & 5. On December 30, 31 & January 2, Seong-Jin Cho joins Cristian Măcelaru and the Orchestre National de France for their New Year’s concerts performing Rachmaninoff’s “Rhapsody on a theme by Paganini”.

Valerie Coleman, composer: On December 2, Valerie Coleman saw the World Premiere recording of her work “Fanfare for Uncommon Times” by the Orchestra of Saint Luke’s at the DiMenna Center in New York, reserved for a premiere stream on February 22. The work was an OSL commission that received its premiere on June 27, 2021 at the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts.

Beatrice Rana, piano: Beatrice Rana returns to Europe after successful concerto performances with the LA Phil and Boston Symphony Orchestra for her European recital tour. Already having played recitals in Vienna, Parma and Vicenza, on December 3, 7 & 13 she performs at Stuttgart’s Liederhalle, Munich’s Herkulessaal der Residenz and Cologne’s Philharmonie respectively.

Christian Reif, conductor: Christian Reif is fresh off recent successes with the New World Symphony in Miami and Odense Symphony in Demark. On January 12-15, he will lead the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra on a program of Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 1 “Classical”, Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 and Stookey’s “The Composer is Dead”.
