On September 6 and 7, 2019, Cristian Măcelaru made a successful debut as Chief Conductor of the WDR Sinfonieorchester. He received a glowing response from audiences and media alike for the following program:

Jörg Widmann: “Tanz auf dem Vulkan”
Dvorak: Te Deum
