Media coverage on Gemma New signing with Primo Artists

This week, media highlighted the news that conductor Gemma New signed with Primo Artists for General Management.

Gemma New said: “I am so excited and pleased to be joining the world-class roster of Primo Artists. I look forward to working closely with Charlotte and her team, and I’m confident we will enjoy a highly successful partnership.”

The Violin Channel announced the news on their front page. The site writes “Gemma previously served as a Dudamel Conducting Fellow with the Los Angeles Philharmonic – and currently serves as Music Director of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and Resident Conductor with the St. Louis Symphony.”

Susan Elliott from Musical America writes: “Conductor Gemma New has taken another step toward a major career, having signed with Primo Artists…. New has been active on podiums in her native New Zealand as well as with the major orchestras of Detroit, San Diego, Toronto, and New York, among others.”

Norman Lebrecht from Slipped Disc featured her on their homepage saying “rising conductor Gemma New has been signed up by Charlotte Lee’s boutique Primo Artists, where she will share services with Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell and Nicola Benedetti.”
